Nu gui for slackpkg.
Just pick a mirror in
etc/slackpkg/mirrors
and run:
slackpkg update
&
slackpkg upgrade-all

Done all of that. Still does not find with search. Deciding if I need akonadi installed, or install mysql server.
Tired of the akconadi running each time I start KDE. Is it necessary? If so, why would it start with errors?

pkgtool is what you can use to install & remove packages.
However I prefer to use the cli.
upgradepkg (package-name .tgz or .txz or .t?z)
installpkg (pkg-name .tgz or .txz or .t?z)
Many people remove "akonadi"

Kenjiro has KDE4.3.4 on the repo and it works much better than 4.3.1

Be sure to read the "README" before installing.

And if you continue to use slackpkg after you install the new KDE don't forget to black list the new KDE packages or slackpkg will hose it.
