We are reached the second release candidate of the upcoming stable release of Bluewhite64 12.1 Linux. Since the first RC, we have upgraded the Linux Kernel to version 2.6.24.5, added the latest stable Linux Kernel 2.6.25 in to the testing area and made it available as a test.s kernel during installation. Also, added the IA32 emulation for those who need to run 32-bit programs, this can be found in the extra software repository. Many other small cosmetic fixes has been merged. Please see the

The Bluewhite64 Linux --current development tree reached the first release candidate status. There are still some work to do like adding a test kernel for the final release and update the IA32 emulation. Right now there is no ISO provided, the RC2 may have one

I am pleased to announce Bluewhite64 12.0-Live-DVD-r1, a maintenance release of the Bluewhite64 12.0-LiveDVD version.
Many packages have been updated and new features added. Merged updated packages from the Bluewhite64 12.0 patches directory which fixes one or more possible security issues, the kernel has been updated to the latest stable version 2.6.24 including tickless system support, Virtualization, more wireless drivers support and many more (details can be found
here). Also, another important features of this releas are KDE 3.5.8 in 65 languages, MPlayer 1.0rc2 media player and ALICE (Advanced Linux Installation and Configuration Environment) with six GUI managers, wrote in QT, which will help you to easily manage different system settings.

The
linuxtracker.org, which keep the Bluewhite64 torrents, changed his site and back end, so, all Bluewhite64 torrents need to be recreated and uploaded with a new announce address. At the
Get Bluewhite64 section you will find the new torrents for the Bluewhite64 Install DVD and CD`s. The miniLive torrent is also updated and can be downloaded from the
Bluewhite64 miniLive page. The LiveDVD is not yet updated because I'm working on a new version, Bluewhite64 12.0-LiveDVD-r1, which will be released after the 2.6.24 kernel is out. If you seeding using old version of torrents they are still working until February 1'st and I recommend you to download the new ones and save over the existing ISOs. In this way you keep seeding alive to the new Bluewhite64 users. Thanks!
